Subject: залить раскаленным маслом Готовим морковку по корейски. Как сказать не знаю, Put / add hot oil - звучит убого, помогите пожалуйста.

add +1 or 'pour in (the) sizzling hot oil' or 'pour (the) sizzling hot oil over (the carrots?)'. 'Put' by itself isn't right, as the reader will immediately think: "Put the hot oil where...?" |

* 'shimmering' usually means 'glistening slightly', so it refers to the appearance of sth -- for example, the appearance of light reflected on water. * 'sizzling' usually refers to the hissing sound that small bubbles in boiling/very hot liquid make -- so imho it's more appropriate here. The 'hot' in 'sizzling hot' may be superfluous in theory -- but 'sizzling hot' is a very commonly-used expression. |
