| Yep. Strictly speaking it should read 'profiled strip-fixed' (with a hyphen), ie a window fixed/held in place (in the wall or wherever) by means of a profiled strip. 'profiled' here just means 'shaped'. |
| Может быть. всё, что идёт между of и window, является определением к window? Весь паровозик "pvc profiled strip-fixed" окошко (чесговоря, беспонятия што за pvc...). |

adelaida, two questions: 1) Have you copied the original (especially the punctuation) accurately? 2) How good is the English (especially the punctuation) in the original? A 'fixed window' usually just means one which can't be opened; however, if this is what it means here, there's probably some punctuation missing from 'profiled strip'. Can you show the whole paragraph and preferably the one before and after it? |

Dear johnstephenson! Sorry for the late answer. Unfortunately, there is no any paragraph in that document as it is just a Data Sheet in an Excel form. So, there are just rows/lines with specifications. And yes, there is not any punctuation there. |

По гост это будет скорее легкосбрасываемое остекление, либо остекление легкосбрасываемых оконных конструкций Вот тут учёные мужи используют более правильный термин — взрывобезопасное остекление |
