* '1% part of 2.5%' also doesn't make sense unless the '1% part' has been referred to earlier in the text. The author/translator may possibly have meant to write 'the first 1% of the 2.5%' or 'payment of the first 1% of ......' – but, again, they're just guesses. You need to check with the translator/original author what exactly they meant. And then shoot them.
