Subject: they become comfortable around your presence gen.
=*=

Контекст:
"The reason why these two actually work in the long run is because, with air signs like Aquarius, the minute they feel like a bond has formed and they become comfortable around your presence, over time they will let you in emotionally."

'to be comfortable around (s.o.'s) presence' isn't used very often in UK English, but seems to be more common in US/Canadian English. I'm not certain of the exact meaning, but I suspect it means either that:

* they've no objections to you being present; or
* they're comfortable when you're present.

A US/Canadian English-speaker will know better than me, though; I'm from the UK.

really, Mr. johnstephenson?

If English is not so good than it must be from the U.S. or Canada.
I would say, and I learned that in the US, either "they become comfortable around you" or "they become comfortable in your presence".
I think we should blame Australia.

** If English is not so good than it must be from the U.S. or Canada. **

I'm not sure about that! Like you I've never heard of 'comfortable around your presence', but if you google it you'll find 10,600 occurrences of it online (although only five occurrences on .uk sites, four of which are copies of the first!). Most of the 10,600 seem to be from North America.

In an astrology context 'your presence' may refer to s.o.'s aura, but I'm not an expert.
