johnstephenson, sorry for off-topic question. What's the best acronym for a settlement account (расчетный счет)? I saw a/c but I'm not sure in this one.

Andy: Honest answer: I don't know whether there's an abbreviation for 'settlement account' or not, as I don't know enough about finance – but if you put 'settlement a/c', it will be clearly understood. 'acct.' is also sometimes used for 'account', but 'a/c' seems to be more popular amongst financiers etc.

Doesn't "a/c" stand for "account current"?

Aiduza: I'm not a financial expert, but I've checked online and some sources give the expansion as 'account current' as you say, whilst others (inc some well-known dictionaries) give it as just 'account', in roughly equal numbers. Others still (again, inc some well-known dictionaries) give it as meaning both. So, to avoid any ambiguity, it might be best to use 'settlement acct.'
