Смущают эти II в конце каждой из аббревиатур. Это просто названия наборов реагентов?

Разъясните, пожалуйста, кто разбирается.

вы написали Urology Practices с заглавными буквами, поэтому я предположил название клиники. Если не название, то речь о множестве клиник и отделений. По-любому, "Сбор образцов в урологической практике" не соответствует английскому тексту. Practices - это медучреждения.

fPSAII - их количественное содержание.

The total PSA and free PSA tests both measure levels of PSA in the blood. Results help doctors to diagnose issues like prostate cancer and inflammation of the prostate.

The tests are slightly different. A total PSA test measures all the PSA, including the antigens that are bound and those that are floating freely.

A free PSA test only measures the amount of PSA that is floating freely in the bloodstream, without being bound to a different protein.

Both tests are used to diagnose prostate issues. A person may have an increased risk of prostate cancer when they have higher levels of total PSA and lower levels of free PSA.

Да. Я с подобным вопросом столкнулся, когда пытался балансировать воду в своём бассейне. Тонну хлорки бросаю, тест показывает, что ее в воде уйма, а вода всё зеленела и зеленела. всё зиму я изучал химию через ю-тюб. Оказалось, не общее содержание хлора (total chlorine) не лечит воду. Те молекулы хлора, которые вступили в связь с другими молекулами, нихрена не делают, только глаза обжигают. Важным является содержание свободных молекул (free chlorine), которые мечутся в поиске жертвы, чтобы обнять и задушить. Их у меня в воде было очень мало, поэтому и размножались водоросли. Тут я и понял разницу между общим содетжание элемента в составе и свободным, готовым к совокуплению.
Вто время как PSAII определяет общее количество, fPSAII определяет процентное соотношение между общим количеством и свободным.
