Kate-I but if we are talking about birth, late baby and late child both sound awkward and somewhat childish (no pun intended) in English. if it is about birth i would still try to work with the phrase "the baby/child was born late" |

gogolesque, а что если нужна не фраза, а термин или выражение "поздний ребенок"? amber, a какой у Вас контекст? |

изначальная фраза звучит как - родители поздних детей а есть ли эквивалент слову "позднородящие"? |
| можно написать parents whose children were born late или parents with children born late (хотя первый вариант корявый а второй запутаный) |
| я бы вообще сказала Parents of Late Children или Late Parenthood (best), если это заголовок. Ясно как день, что у Вас речь идёт не о просроченных родах, а о немолодых родителях. ППКС Kate-I |
| Я вот подумала (просто мысль), что у слова late есть еще значение "покойный, недавно умерший"... Так что мне кажется, что наиболее уместен вариант Mo - Late Parenthood |

kate-i happens sometimes.... maybe the author had a bad editor??? :) maybe the author had a bad mother with poor language skills?? :) but i am sure we have to read the book to know why the title is such..... |
