Просьба помочь с переводом обозначений классификации в теме (Ru>Eng).
Контекст - инструкция по применению дезинфекционного средства.
Оригинал:
По устойчивости к химическим дезинфицирующим средствам возбудителей основных инфекционных болезней животных, включая птиц, делят на четыре группы: малоустойчивые, устойчивые, высокоустойчивые и особо устойчивые.

Мой черновой вариант (в скобках варианты, которые держу в голове):
From the point of view of (Based on) resistance to chemical disinfecting products there are four major groups of agents of infections with (to) animals (livestock) and poultry, namely low-resistant, resistant, highly-resistant and particularly resistant (agents).
Либо использовать sensitive, с "обратной" градацией.

I googled for "low-resistant" and there are examples, but those seem to have been written by non-native speakers. I'd want an adverb to modify an adjective, so I picked "slightly", recalling "slightly soluble" from pharmacopoeia. (0:

livestock и poultry уберите, ведь любoе животное и любая птица подвержены, а не только те, которые на мясо идут.

Интуитивно понимаю, что based on не очень ложится, поэтому и не взял это за основу, а оставил "про запас".

Тогда получается On the basis of_ their_ resistance....infectious disease agents....?

Я бы вообще не стала начинать предложение с такой громоздкой конструкции.
The agents causing major infectious diseases of animals and birds can be divided into four groups proceeding from the resistance of the agents to chemical disinfectants, namely....
(и уже предлагалась нормальная конструкция вчера в 19:09)

Если верить написанному по той ссылке, что дала Syrira, вот это конкретное предложение, которое Вы предложили,

похоже, действительно не может начинаться с based on, потому что получается, будто Based on модифицирует подлежащее, которое в данном случае agents, то есть agents [are] based on resistence to...
А здесь не сами возбудители основываются на сопротивляемости, а их деление на группы основывается, имхо...

Так что, получается, надо, действительно, либо on the basis of:

On the basis of their resistance to chemical disinfectants, infectious disease agents in animals, including birds, are categorized into four groups...

либо, если хочется всё-таки based on, подсунуть под это разбивку на группы, что-то вроде:

Based on resistance to chemical disinfectants, the categorization of infectious disease agents in animals, including birds, into four groups is as follows: ...

Хотя это последнее уже выглядит притянуто за уши, да...
