(ph) appears very frequently
One of the comments:

"phonetic" - it means the transcriber listening to the press conference couldn't exactly make out what was said (or the spelling of a person's name) but made their best guess at it based on what it sounded like. "Inaudible" is similar - just for parts that couldn't be heard by the transcriber at all.
