It is a little bit confusing since Medtronic uses both an Interbody Trial and Implant Trial in the same context: "Utilize the Interbody Trial to ensure accuracy of the prepared disc space. The Implant Trial has the exact dimensions of the interbody portion of the Prestige Disc. After all distraction has been removed, it should slide into the prepared disc space with very little resistance. If the Trial does not completely fit into the disc space, or causes the vertebral bodies to splay, double check the end-plates for protruding bone that might interfere with placement of the Prestige Disc." I am not sure if "Interbody Trial" and "Implant Trial" denotes the same thing. |

The client advised using the following reference: http://www.arcos.com.uy/pdf/productos/65/563_capstone_peek_st.pdf (page 11 and 13) There, "Trial" seems to be used as a synonym of "Distractor", but I am not 100% sure if it's true. |
