алекс, moot имеет также и значение "потерявший силу", "утративший значение", "ставший неактуальным", "более неактуальный" вот в этом значении термин и употреблен у вас |

алекс, совет: меньше (или вообще не) работайте с переводными (русско-английскими) словарями они не всегда а) полны, б) качественно написаны и в) надежны работайте с качественными, авторитетными словарями англо-английскими: такими как webster, random house, american heritage, oxford а если брать правовые - то американский black's, британские garner's, jowitts, strouds и т.п. к примеру, ваш moot во всех этих словарях присутствует во всех своих значениях - включая то, которое вам сегодня понадобилось (а не в усеченном виде, как вы его нашли в русских словарях) иначе говоря, советую отдавать предпочтение энциклопедическим материалам так думаю с) |
