'Life-wide' isn't a normal English word. "Lifelong and lifewide/life-wide learning" is a catchphrase that was invented by a university a few years ago as part of their advertising. Since then it's become more popular and is used by other universities, colleges etc.

It apparently means that the skills they will teach you will last you for the whole of your lifetime AND will help you deal with a wide variety of tasks/problems.

In a few years' time, the term will have been forgotten and no-one will be using it any more....

...or we shall expect "life-deep" added into the mix

Yes -- it's got to come! 'Total' was the big, meaningless 'in' word here in the UK 15 years ago. We had vans going around with 'Total Plumbing Ltd', 'Total Gardening Services', 'Total Dairy' etc. No-one had a clue what it actually meant. It didn't mean anything, of course, and so after a few years they'd all stopped using it. Totally pointless.
