Извините, не правильно написал обращение. надо было перевести выражения: "conservative tracer response" и "partitioning tracer response" в данном предложении:We follow a two step procedure whereby we first match the conservative tracer response to determine the permeability distribution and then match the partitioning tracer response to obtain oil saturation distribution in the reservoir.

tracer response -- я бы предложил перевести как "результат трассирования"
Conservative - это надо смотреть по смыслу всего текста, т.е. тот, что был применен ранее, в отличие от того, что получен при введении разделения на ячейки.
Как-то так....
