Затруднение вызвало сочетание point effect of diffusion. Вот несколько примеров из статьи:

1. Spherical y' precipitates growing in solid у matrix by coarsening showed morphological instability with abrupt temperature drop. The morphological instability driven by the point effect of diffusion seems to be a general phenomenon regardless of the nature of the matrix phase and regardless of the ageing stage.

2. As Mullins and Sekerka described in their classic pa-per [1] the origin of morphological instability is the point effect of diffusion: whenever the second phase grows into the supersaturated mother phase in a diffusion controlled manner, the potential for interfacial instability exists.

Можно ли назвать это как "точечное воздействие диффузии"?
Ни "точечное воздействие диффузии", ни "point effect of diffusion" не гуглятся. Само значение "point effect" (истечение заряда с острия) здесь не подходит.
