"За три месяца цена повышалась 5 раз". Increased 5 times = в 5 раз, верно? Как сформулировать, чтобы недоразумений не вышло? Спасибо.

"5 х increase" - это не "повышалась 5 раз", это "увеличение в 5 раз"

повышалась 5 раз - естественно, с десяток вариантов, включая:
five times,
on five occasions,
there have been 5 price increases / hikes,
the last three months have seen five price increases / hikes,
the last three months have seen the price increased on five occasions,
the price has been upped on five (separate) occasions over the past five months,
etc...
