Доброго времени суток, опять прошу подмоги у мудрых.

Может кто встречал или переводил такую беду - nested pit?

Контекст: Carry out nested pit optimization for selected throughput options.
Более подробно: Разработка модели карьера с использованием ПО MineSight. То есть, в это самое ПО вносятся данные о существующей и планируемой инфраструктуре, геологические данные, геолого-технические данные, данные из ресурсной модели и все такое прочее плюс вот это самое nested pit, которые надо оптимизировать.

Я примерно представляю, что это такое, мне бы русскоязычный аналог подобрать )

Нашел на одном из форумов вот это: Imagine a nest of, say 5 chairs. The largest chair represents the final or ultimate pit (a large sloping crater) - the other chairs, starting with the smallest, represent the sequence or phases the open mine has gone through, from the first small pit.In the planning/designing of a large mine the nested pits are part of a mathematical model (nested Lerchs-Grossman alogorithm) which can be applied to the nest pits to obtain maximum results for the ultimate pit. There are different kinds of models, with computer softwares, which can be applied.
А вот как по нашенски передать - не знаю.
