CEGH will provide mandatory back up/down services at ITAB for the first five hours of any shortages or problem subject to CEGH being able to source back up/down gas/services. After the first five hours the back up/down services will be optional but will still depend on CEGH's ability to source back up/down gas.
There is a cap on the maximum price CEGH can charge traders for selling them back up gas of 150% of the Baumgarten Day Ahead Reference Price and a floor for the amounts which CEGH can pay traders for accepting back down gas of 50% of the Baumgarten Day Ahead Reference Price. The Baumgarten Day Ahead Reference Price (or "BDARP") is defined in Appendix F to the CEGH Agreement and is designed to represent as far as possible market prices at ITAB. BDARP will be initially calculated from a basket of broker prices for trades at all Baumgarten locations but it is intended that this will be changed over time by CEGH in consultation with EFET to reflect ITAB market prices as they develop.

BACK-UP AND BACK-DOWN

The Back-up and Back-down service provides service users with the maximum level of stability of Title Transfer transactions. Eustream ensures gas delivery (Back-up quantity) to the user or gas off-take (Back-down quantity) if there is the risk of a reduction in the gas quantity of its Title Transfer transaction. The service is provided via the Virtual Trading Point as well as at Entry and Exit points of the transmission network.

Fee:
Reference gas price (CEGHIX index) x 1.25/MWh delivered Back-up quantity – service user pays to Eustream
Reference gas price (CEGHIX index) x 0.75/MWh off-taken Back-down quantity – Eustream pays to service user

Service booking:
A prerequisite for service usage is the conclusion of a Back-up and Back-down contract . Eustream ensures delivery of the Back-up quantity and Back-down quantity before the gas quantity reduction takes place as part of the Title Transfer transaction. The service user receives information about the service provision via a confirmation of gas delivery or off-take using assigned shipper pairs for this purpose. The service user has the right to refuse the Back-up quantity delivery or Back-down quantity off-take through the re-nomination.
