Помогите, пожалуйста, разобраться с термином "supplementary performance"

Контекст следующий:
In the event of a justified complaint, XXX may choose either to refurbish the
endless press belt or to replace it with another belt that is free of defects
(supplementary performance). Should the supplementary performance fail, our
contracting partner may, after expiry of a reasonable period of time, reduce the
purchase price or withdraw from the contract.

что подразумевается? ~дополнительный [период] действия?

supplementary (contractual) performance - дополнительное исполнение контрактных обязательств: один раз the
endless press belt поставили, потом еще раз поставили (дополнительно) - на замену

Немцы так перевели свое Nacherfьllung, а по-русски это будет "последующее исполнение"
