Ерундовый вопрос, кажется, но заранее благодарна, если все же растолкуете, что означает часть ...for a permanent or assignment position... в приведенном ниже отрывке. То есть понятно, что permanent position - постоянная должность, но вот в таком виде, как это сформулировано, сомневаюсь как-то...

Определение из Terms and Сonditions of Business ирландской рекрутинговой компании

“Engagement” means the engagement, appointment, employment or
use of the applicant at whether under a contract of service or for services
or in any other capacity, and whether such services are provided directly
or indirectly through another legal entity or person be it for a permanent
or assignment position within a period of twelve months from the
date of Introduction and “Engages” and “Engaged” shall be construed
accordingly.

Я думаю, просто имеется в виду постоянно или временно (мне кажется, assignment position - когда берут под конкретный проект).
