Есть чертеж полупогружного насоса, на котором присутствует следующая надпись:
1.13 in dia (4 holes eq.spaced) on 21.25 in B.C. straddle discharge

Как переводится B.C. straddle discharge?

Это означает, что насос качает в две разных линии. Как правильно по-русски не знаю. Возможно, раздельный (или двойной) выкид.

Я понимаю это так: имеются 4 отверстия диаметром 1,13 дюйма, которые равномерно распределены по болтовой окружности диаметром 21,25 дюймов, и эти отверстия расположены вне оси патрубка нагнетания.

In simple words:

"Bolt holes on flanges straddle the center lines (one on each side of the center line) for a very simple reason, to assure proper alignment of flanges from piece to piece there needs to be a simple method of consistently orienting the bolt holes.

By using a simple spirit level it is possible to set the hole orientation. A bolt can be placed in each of two holes and a level is place on them. The flange is rotated until the bubble in the level is centered. This places the two bolt holes equidistant from the center line.

A simple but low tech way of getting the job done regardless of the location."
