Unless stated otherwise herein for any particular matter, as a condition to the claim of non-liability, the party experiencing the difficulty whose performance is affected shall give prompt written notice, with full details following the end of Force Majeure to the other party. Dates by which performance obligations are scheduled to be met will be extended for a period of time equal to the time lost due to any delay so caused unless otherwise provided hereunder.

Кмк, смысл такой: чтобы потом ссылаться на форс-мажор (и снять с себя ответвенность), должно быть выполнено это условие (give prompt written notice).
