Контекст:
На исследуемой площади поверхности образца в зависимости от степени неравно-весности (дефектности) структуры может быть различное количество недетектирован-ных точек: чем выше неравновесность кристаллической структуры, тем больше коли-чество недетектированных точек (количество детектированных и недетектированных точек фиксируется компьютерной программой).

И какой перевод лучше:
1. There can be a different number of undetectable dots on the studied surface area of the speci-men depending on level of structure nonequilibrium (imperfection), i.e., the higher crystal lat-tice nonequilibrium is, the greater number of undetected points (a number of detectable and undetectable points is recorded by software).
2. Undetectable dots are presented in different number on the studied surface area of the speci-men depending on the level of structure nonequilibrium (imperfection) i.e., the higher crystal lattice nonequilibrium is, the greater number of undetectable dots (a number of detectable and undetectable dots is recorded by software).

У Вас, видимо, "non-detected points" или "undetected points"

EBSD background.
Orientation measurements are made using electron back scattered diffraction (EBSD). EBSD is a point to point (crystal to crystal) measurement on the surface of the metal. The basic operation of
EBSD is to collect electron back scattered patterns (EBSP) using a specialized detector on a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) . Orientation patterns are generated by how electrons interact with planes of atoms within the metal crystal.
Kikuchi bands are generated by sample interaction with the electron beam (Figure 1). Although a single data point is sufficient to describe the crystallography of any given grain, it is typical to have multiple points within a grain for statistical reasons. The distance the beam moves
between each point is known as the step size and set by the operator to be less than size of the grain.
The beam then rasters over the chosen area and orientation information is collected for all points within the area.

По-мпему, ни один из предложенных вариантов не подходит.
undetected - Это когда процесс прошел, и точки остались незамеченными.
