RSSU branch in Minsk was created by the resolution of Executive Committee of Belarus-Russia Union No. 5 of 10 June 1998. The resolution of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 1347 of August 27 1998 granted all rights and guarantees which were provided by law for the state higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus.
Currently the branch trains over 2,200 students.
During the period from 2002 till 2011 1916 graduates of this branch obtained the diploma of the Russian State Social University.
In 2008 National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus awarded the Certificate of Honour “For merits in interstate connections development and activities for preparation of highly qualified personnel for the social sphere of the Republic of Belarus” to the branch.
The branch director is Poletayev Sergey Aleksandrovich, candidate of economic sciences, the associate professor and the author of more than 20 published scientific works about social policy and problems of construction of the Union State.
