As a result, a Fault Detection, Isolation, and Accommodation (FDIA) algorithm was developed to account for the occurrence of in-range sensor failures (for example, gradual sensor drift) supplied as inputs to the model. This algorithm was designed to supplement fault protection in the existing control system, which takes action only in the case of or out-of-range failures (failure high or low).
