Огромная просьба - подкорректируйте мой перевод следующего предложения. Особенно меня интересует перевод слова "binary". Спасибо большое! (Речь о технике безопасности при работе с подрядчиками)

When clarifying expectations and accountabilities, they must be clear and binary, defined by role or desired outcome and should be activities and actions that are observable, correctable and coachable, which link to acceptable performance.

Четко определяя ожидания и разграничивая сферы ответственности, следует иметь в виду, что они должны быть четкими и бинарными(???), определенными по роли или желаемому результату, и представлять собой виды деятельности, которые можно отследить, подкорректировать и которым можно научить.

На всякий случай, для контекста, привожу предыдущее предложение:

Мне кажется, binary — просто для усиления clear. В значении
b : involving a choice or condition of two alternatives (as on-off or yes-no)

то есть "либо да, либо нет" — однозначные.

The problem with most goal setting techniques and the reason why they often don’t work is that they are “Binary” methods.
