Наверное, компания предоставляет страховку подрядчикам. А почему так странно написано "protected from "? Как будто от страховки защищают ))))))

Имхо, не "в перспективе", здесь другой смысл.

"These individuals are protected from an insurance perspective"
from an insurance perspective = from the perspective of insurance (дословно "с точки зрения" вопросов страхования = что касается страхования, ...)
