Здравствуйте,
в тексте есть выражение: дисквалифицировать игрока за удар соперника после остановки игры 15 тура первенства. Есть ли какое-то слово означающее "остановку" спортивного матча? К сожалению, непонятно, остановка на время или окончательная остановка игры...Спасибо.

остановка - это на время (обычно ... а окончательная остановка игры была бы "окончание/завершение матча")

тут в контексте нужно аккуратно маневрировать!
например, stoppage time написать опасно - так называют время, добавленное судьей к концу тайма, чтобы скомпенсировать то, что ушло на избыточные остановки по ходу тайма (травмы и т.п.)
