помогите, пожалуйста с названием дисциплин:
1) Основные направление политики США накануне Второй Мировой Войны (Main Directions in Policy of the USA before the Second World War (или before the beginning of...). Как передать "накануне"?
2) Особенности исторического развития США (Peculiarities of the Historic Development of the USA) (Или 'historical"?) Спасибо)

Historic means "important," "momentous," or "historically significant." Historical means "relating to the past."

Examples:

Ой, спасибочки огромное))) В процессе работы еще подвернулаь такая фраза: экзамен по специальности "Всемирная история". Думаю над вариантом exeamination in the major in the World history, но как-то in...in очень меня смущает. Экзамен не только по истории, но и по другим историческим предметам (комплексный экзамен). Как думаете, можно просто написать examination in the major, если в корочке прописано, что специальность - всемирная история?
