1. API grants to Licensee a nonexclusive license to use the certification mark(s) for
the service categories, viscosities, and brand names set forth in Schedule A which is
made a part hereof (hereinafter the "marks") provided that these products are made in
accordance with the standards and requirements set forth in API 1509 entitled, Engine
Oil Licensing and Certification System ("the products"), including any amendments,
modifications, substitutions or interpretations that hereafter are adopted.
