"Why this and not that" gen.

Контекст: "Why this and not that" can be a puzzling question and, in a sense, a koan. (Whot is the sound of one hand clapping?). I have often wondered, and still do, why the apple in Magritte's painting "The Listening Room" looks as large as it does. Why do we see gigantic apple and not miniature room? Some moves, such as
"The Little Indians", depend on such predictable illusions.
