His favourite word is definitely "b******s" - he says it all the time

Barney caused a commotion at a wildlife sanctuary by branding a visiting vicar and local policemen w***ers.

The five-year-old macaw went on to hurl abuse at the local mayor and swear at a party of schoolchildren.

Geoff Grewcock, boss of Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary in Nuneaton, now takes Barney home at night.

He said he makes him watch documentaries and the news in a bid to clean up his language.

'But as soon as he is back at the sanctuary he stands on his cage and says "f*** off",' he added.

'His favourite word is definitely "b******s" - he says it all the time.'
