Вариантов много, но этот довольно стандартен:

...she decided to pursue a different goal and left her company to start her own marketing consultation business. так он не сам решил исполнить временную роль, а был назначен временно исполняющим обязанности...и Наташа не просто так чего-то решила, а была уволена по собственному желанию
