Solution Stability
The stability of a standard solution was demonstrated by injecting the standard solution
initially. After 24 hours, a GC vial containing standard solution and an aliquot of
standard solution taken from the stock flask were injected. Both solutions were
maintained at ambient conditions. The results, presented in [Table 3.2. are within ±10% of the initial value. Therefore, it was concluded that standard solutions are stable for 24 hours in GC vials or stock flasks capped with rubber septa or stoppers.
