Отличие propeller и rotor avia.

Перевожу текст по проектированию вертолетов. Тема- аэродинамика.
Постоянно в тексте встречаются слова propeller и rotor и причем в одном предложении.
Например:
1. In powered level flight or in a climb the rotor is working mainly in the "normal propeller state".
2. This power may be transmitted wholly to the rotor or rotors (of a pure helicopter), wholly to a propulsive propeller or jet (of an autogyro), or partly to the rotor and partly to a propulsive propeller or jet (of a compound helicopter).
3. The compound or hybrid helicopter, in which part of the power was supplied to the rotor for producing lift and part to a propeller for providing propulsion.
4. The autogyro, whose rotor was kept in rotation during flight by aerodynamic forces only, the engine power being supplied to a propeller that provided a forward thrust component for translational flight. The rotor thus was wholly a lifting device.
Я считала, что в данном контексте rotor- несущий винт ЛА, а что же тогда такое propeller?
Подскажите в чем отличие этих двух слов в тематике аэродинамики в вертолетостроении!

У вас, вообще-то, про автожир... Можно и погуглить, даже и картинки. :)
Вкратце, отличие от вертолета в том, что у А. есть несущий винт (ротор, как у В.) и тянущий винт, т.е.пропеллер.
