Я перевела предложение на английский, но как-то оно не очень красиво звучит, на мой взгляд, может кто-нибудь подскажет, как можно красиво перевести первую часть предложения?
Древние мудрецы утверждали, что желающий достичь мудрости должен научиться разумно спрашивать, внимательно слушать, спокойно отвечать и прекращать говорить, когда больше нечего сказать.
The ancient sages claimed that people wishing to achieve wisdom must learn to ask reasonably, listen attentively, answer calmly and stop talking when there is nothing more to say.
