Subject: ДЭНС терапия
как бы вы перевели названия метода - ДЭНС, который применяют в качестве физитерапии?

в англоязычных источниках чаще встречается
TENS - transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation
direct electrical peripheral nerve stimulation, or DENS - вроде не то.

Заранее спасибо!

ok, DENS is out of question. Больному ничего не имплантировали.

There are no evidence-based treatments for CRPS, but physical therapy is the first-line treatment. Mild to moderate cases also may require adjuvant analgesics, anticonvulsants, and antidepressants.

Patients who fail these treatments may be candidates for direct electrical peripheral nerve stimulation, or DENS, said Dr. Cooney, who reported "remarkable" but "not uniform" results in more than 80 patients who failed medical management and tried DENS.

*DENS requires the surgical implantation of an electrode that is attached to a pulse generator.* The Food and Drug Administration has yet to approve the implantable device, called Itrel, which was developed by Medtronic Inc.
