Finish machining the stem nut
Only required for stem nut if supplied unbored or with a pilot bore.
1. Remove spigot ring (3) from output drive type.
2. Remove stem nut (1) together with axial cylinder roller bearing (2).
Please note bearing races (22/23) order.
3. Remove axial cylinder roller bearing from stem nut.
4. Drill and bore stem nut and cut thread.
When fixing in the chuck, make sure stem nut runs true!
5. Clean the machined stem nut.
6. Apply Lithium soap EP multi-purpose grease to axial cylinder roller bear-
ings, then place them on stem nut. Ensure correct sequence of bearing
races.
7. Re-insert stem nut with axial bearings into output drive type. Ensure that
dogs or toothing are placed correctly in the slots of the hollow shaft.
8. Screw in spigot ring until it is firm against the shoulder.
