over-riding v. under-riding (лебедки)

Речь о лебедках для водолазных работ. Как правильно перевести over-riding и under-riding ?

Контекст: Where reasonably practical, devices should be fitted to avoid the winch from over-riding (pulling the wire end attachment through the head block) or under-riding (running away and stripping all of the winch wire off the drum).
