butt и butt stroke для гибочно-профильного станка automat.

Всем привет. Помогите понять что имеется в виду. Речь идет об автоматическом станке для гибки и резки арматуры. Привожу весь пункт, не ясно как обозвать butt и butt stroke - что-то выполняется со стержнями арматуры.

"...10. Bars automatic butt setting

Здесь далее табличка с данными и пояснения к ней:

Bar diameter  bar diameter to which the parameters are referred.

Column A  Number of bars under which the automatic butt must not be executed.

Column C  Number of bars above which the automatic butt must be executed.

Column B  Number of butt strokes to be done if the number of bars is included between the value of the A column and the value of the C column.

Column D  Number of butt strokes to be done if the number of bars is bigger than the value of the C column.

Еще в этом же ПО к станку есть иконка "Pre-butting position correction" тоже не понятно что имеется в виду.
