Можно ли так с порядком слов?

Необходимо перевести предложение с русского на английский. Можно ли так:

Просуществовав около четырех столетий и, почти постоянно ведя борьбу с народными восстаниями и защищаясь от набегов кочевников, Ханьская ди¬настия также разделила судьбу своих предшественников.

Having lasted for about 4 centuries, being in the state of almost constant struggle with the popular revolts and defending itself from the nomad raids, the Han Dynasty shared the destiny of its predecessors.

Можно ли ставить такой большой причастный оборот перед подлежащим и сказуемым? Не испугаются ли англоговорящие?
