слово мэр в английском

Здравствуйте!
Скажите, обязательно ли писать слово "мэр" - mayor - в названии должности с указанием фамилии большой буквы? Это правило действует всегда или есть исключения?

Yes, if you are including the name. In other words - NY's Mayor Bloomberg approved the bill.... but ... bill was approved by the mayor of NY.

Same rule applies to geographic locations, for instance. We visited Mount Rushmore... but ... we visited the mount in the Berkshires etc.
