возможно, "постановка документов в очередь"
если длинный документ, содержащий иллюстрации, отправляется на печать, это не мешает другим процессам, т.к. этим занимается отдельный сервер

или же - небольшие документы распечатываются без ожидания завершения распечатывания длинных документов
