Investigations performed
The adsorption of benzalkonium chloride to the filter membrane was investigated. Samples
after filtration were analysed for benzalkonium chloride content to verify that the first
collected solution after discarding according to the manufacturing procedure contains the
correct amount of benzalkonium chloride.
Results
The results show that the filtration procedure with a high degree of assurance saturates the
filter and thus gives a filtrate with benzalkonium chloride content according to the acceptance
criteria.
