Each employee who uses a tight-fitting face piece respirator will be fitted properly and tested for face to face piece seal prior to initial use of the respirator, and annually thereafter. The fit-test will be specific for the respirator size, style, model, and make used. A fit-test will also be conducted whenever changes in the employee’s physical condition that could affect respirator fit are reported or observed. Such conditions include facial scarring, dental changes, cosmetic surgery, or an obvious change in body weight.
