9.2.2.18 Safety and Relief Valves

Unless otherwise specified herein, all safety and relief valves shall be of the direct spring loaded angle body type, with inlet and outlet piping connections.
Unless otherwise specified, valves for steam, compressed air, or compressed gas service shall be of the "safety" type having a "pop" opening and closing action. These valves shall be provided with adjustments for blowdown range.
Valves for water or oil shall be of the liquid relief type having a slow opening and closing ac-tion.
Valves shall have port and body flow areas adequate to pass the specified flow to atmosphere. Unless otherwise specified, developed backpressure shall not be greater than 10% of the set pressure for gas or vapor services, and 25% for liquid services.

Проходные отверстия и сечение корпуса арматуры должны быть соответствующего размера для выпуска указанного потока в атмосферу.
