мне кажется, однако, что некоторые из предложенных вариантов чересчур short - думаю, что стиль русского варианта тоже стоит учитывать. мы же переводим не "подпишись и получи!". имхо, very хо)

На научное объяснение сейчас, увы, не сподоблюсь, но конструкция "having done something ..." здесь, по-моему, не к месту. Посмотрите в грамматике на случаи ее употребления. Из моего опыта, такие случаи крайне редки.
Besides, writing for the web is stylistically different from other types of writing. You try to avoid cumbersome grammatical constructions, long sentences, and so on. English is perfect that way if you know how to use it.
Having said that, I urge you not to underestimate the power of "short". (how does that sound to you?)
