| well, since this thread seems to be a free-for-all, i guess i will join, too. well, i m really pissed off right now that anthony was voted out on american idol last night. i was so hoping he'd win - he is ukrainian by birth - but alas, it was not meant to be. and now there are three contestants left, two crooners and one redneck. i've lost all interest in that sorry-a$$ spectacle. :-((( |

romeo, anatoliy "anthony" fedorov moved to america when he was a pre-schooler, 5 or 6 years old. of course, not by himself, his parents took him to the us. being plunged into american life at such a tender age, he now passes the duck test, i.e. he both talks and walks like an american :-), eventhough russian is de rigueur at home, as far as i understand. that's how he qualified to be on american idol. of the remaining contestants, i hope bo gets it, he may be a redneck, but at least he can sing, and not just shout at the top of his lungs, which is what apparently passes for vocal mastery these days. i know i sound bitter, but that's because i m. and in answer to ur question, no, i don't watch russian star factory, never have. is it any good? i m not sure i even know the names of recent star factory grads. |
