In our company, we call it "procedure for requesting time off" in the employee manual and "vacation request procedure" sometimes in oral communications.

с "request" или "requesting" как-то больше похоже, что вы ходите и выпрашиваете отпуск, тогда как вам его обязаны предоставить. вот насколько все зависит от компании....

Ну вот мне request напоминает заявление на отпуск, а то, о чем говорит Watchkeeper - это, я так понимаю, график отпусков сотрудников. По моим предположениям, в "Порядке предоставления отпусков" речь идет о том (если говорить об очередном (ежегодном - в зависимости от правил организации) отпуске), сколько отпускных дней положено сотруднику на той или иной должности, необходимо ли их израсходовать сразу или можно дробить, можно ли переносить какие-то дни из отпуска этого года на следующий, или то, что не "отгулял" компенсируется в денежной форме и т.д.

Watchkeeper: It is true that in most jobs, you are promissed vacation time, when they hire you. But you still have to "request" it. For example, I have two weeks off every year, but I have to fill out a special request form and submit it at least 30 days prior to my intended vacation to my manager. In this case, I am not requesting vacation, but I am requesting a specific time in which I want to take it. Sometimes, I may be denied vacation at a specific time I requested. But my manager may offer an alternative time.

If we are talking about график отпусков, we could probably call it vacation schedule.

2 ms801: Isn’t it what I’ve said? Elenapal felt sorry for you that you work for a lousy company that makes you “beg” them to let you have a vacation, while you are entitled to it by law. I’ve explained to her that you do not beg for vacation per se, but request a specific time during which you want to go on vacation.
