Subject: 'Maturity’ Exam (Kypsyysnäyte) ed. Пожалуйста, помогите перевести название экзамена в финских вузах:The 'Maturity’ Exam (Kypsyysnäyte) The maturity examination is a compulsory part of all new bachelor degrees (kandidaatin tutkinto), and also of the master's degree (diplomi-insinöörin tutkinto) in the Department of Information Technology, when students are writing their thesis in English and have Finnish or Swedish as their language of education (koulusivistyskieli). The maturity examination is a test of ability in the language of education and in the student's field of study. It is conducted as a written task under invigilated examination conditions. Thesis supervisors should therefore take special care to ensure that those students who are required to take a maturity examination are not given credit for the thesis before they have successfully completed the maturity examination. For those students completing the master's degree according to the older system, the obligation to complete the maturity examination is established during the writing of the thesis, and before its completion. For this reason, the application form on which the thesis topic is entered (diplomityön aiheen lomake) includes spaces for indicating whether the maturity examination is compulsory or not. In practice, students agree on the arrangements regarding the maturity examination together with their thesis supervisor when confirming the thesis topic. The tasks assigned for the maturity examination are prepared by the thesis supervisor. The maturity examination is assessed by the thesis supervisor as well as by an instructor in the Finnish or Swedish language. Both the thesis supervisor and the language instructor provide the student with individual feedback. Maturity examinations are evaluated as pass or fail. If the supervisor is not a native speaker of either Finnish or Swedish, the director of the relevant institute can appoint a speaker of Finnish or Swedish from the same institute to prepare and assess the maturity examination.
