слово часто используется в мед. контекстах (~ requirements, tests, standards, analysis). ПРоизводное от о compendia (мн. ч. от compendium). В приведенных ниже примерах под compendia ним понимаются нормативные (или как их еще там) документы в области фамакологии и не только (включая косметику) -- Фармакопеи и пр. Hope this helps.
